For information, please call FISHING REPORT FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 17 2006: LOST ISLAND LAKE: Walleye in the evenings at dusk with large minnows and leeches; Bullheads; Catfish and Perch around dock and lifts with minnows and small jigs; have fun catching Carp with crawlers and corn (do not throw the carp back in). SILVER LAKE: Bullhead fishing has been good with night crawlers. A few yellow perch and crappies are being caught. TRUMBULL LAKE: Perch with minnows; Northerns with spoons and chubs; Bullheads with nightcrawlers. FIVE ISLAND LAKE: The walleye bite has been fair to good, although sorting is required to find bigger fish. VIRGIN LAKE: Bullheads with nightcrawlers; Sorting on the Perch with minnows and small jigs. WEST FORK DES MOINES RIVER (Emmet/Palo Alto): Channel catfish has been excellent for 2 to 4 lb. fish using night crawlers or cut bait. INGHAM LAKE: Bullheads; catching nice size perch. ELK LAKE: no report
