The Lost Island Nature Center has numerous opportunities for
anyone that wants to volunteer. Call the nature center at (712)837-4866 to inquire about becoming a volunteer.

Volunteer Host:
The nature center is open every Saturday & Sunday from
1 - 4 pm. Our weekend hosts greets the public, answers the phone and will
have gift shop sales. A volunteer newsletter is sent out quarterly with
recent updates and happenings at the nature center.
Volunteer to care for and weed gardens:
From April through October,
anyone interested in gardening and taking care of the butterfly garden.
